Address Information: 1800 Harbor Drive South, Venice, FL 34285
Maxine Barritt Park is a testament to the City of Venice’s dedication to preserving Venice’s beaches for only public use. Dedicated September 17, 2010, this park was a cooperative effort between the City of Venice, Sarasota County, and the public. Once a sewage plant built in 1942 by the Army Air Corp, this beautiful park features seven acres of exquisite waterfront real estate.
Residents and guests may have direct access to the sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, Sharky’s on the Pier, the Municipal Fishing Pier, Paw Park, and facilities such as restrooms, a picnic pavillion, grills, park benches, and loads of parking.
Maxine Barritt Park is located on the Island of Venice, just south of Sharky’s on the Gulf (west) side of Harbor Drive.
